Part-bird, part-man, and the epitome of loyalty and courage, Garuda holds profound significance not only as a fierce warrior, but as the archetype of a deeply devoted son.
Featuring wooden sculptures and traditional paintings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the exhibition traces Garuda’s legendary exploits, capturing both the artistic mastery of Balinese creators and the enduring spiritual resonance of a protector deity who remains central to Indonesian culture today.
